Compulab’s UCM-iMX95 is the smallest NXP i.MX95 SOM on the market

15-Oct-2024 – Compulab introduces the UCM-iMX95 System-on-Module, featuring the newest NXP i.MX 95 System-on-Chip in Compulab’s UCM pin2pin SOM form-factor. Measuring only 28 x 40 mm, UCM-iMX95 is a high-performance and versatile solution for a wide range of applications such as industrial HMI, building control, image processing, IoT gateways and medical devices.

Designed to bring out the full capabilities of the i.MX 95 SoC, UCM-iMX95 provides up-to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB eMMC. Peripheral interfaces include Gbit Ethernet, RGMII, USB3.0, 2 PCIe, 5 CAN-FD, 8 UARTs and up-to 80 GPIOs. Display connectivity is supported with dual LVDS and MIPI-DSI. In addition, UCM-iMX95 provides on-board pre-certified 802.11ax WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3.

UCM-iMX95 Evaluation Kit

For evaluation and software development, UCM-iMX95 is provided with the EVAL-UCM-iMX95 evaluation kit, designed to allow easy access to all UCM-iMX95 functions.

The evaluation kit includes UCM-iMX95 and SB-UCMIMX95 hardware set, optional 7″ LVDS LCD, optional LTE cellular modem, 12V PSU, cables and engineering technical support.

UCM-iMX95 Software

Compulab supports UCM-iMX95 with a full BSP and ready-to-run images for the Linux operating system. The UCM-iMX95 BSP includes Linux kernel 6.6, Yocto Project SDK and U-Boot boot-loader.

OTA updates are supported using a pre-configured Mender layer.
